Thank you for posting your results regarding your Philips 334A radio, and good that could reduce the hum!
The picture that you have uploaded shows the original metal box containing the output transformer, this radio is produced for the former Dutch East Indies, and is therefore tropicalized.
It has never been marketed in the Netherlands, so you have a very rare set indeed!
It was also very expensive to buy then.
