Well, that crack can be repaired as it's not in a 'hot' area of the chassis. Not something I'd have done for a customer, but as it's your set it's worth a go. What do others think?
It obviously depends on your skills in soldering in a small area and your confidence. Care with point-to-point wiring is needed.
