Mine is also made in Portugal, I have included a picture of the SN. While taking this picture I discovered that the set is missing a small cover I presume for cable storage. I have many various Grundig's of this age and younger, plastic is not a problem, I wonder if they have been cleaned with something reactive years ago. My main problems with Grundig's are the tuning capacitors and hard grease making stiff or impossible tuning of the set.
