I've been looking at the data sheet and as you say it is vague, to say the least.

About the best clue I can see for the bus access timing is TD(NENOUT) = 150nS which the time between NENIN going high and the SC/MP Indicating its not enabled on NENOUT. This does not seem to be clock frequency related.
