The forum will close at 2pm (BST, GMT+1) today for a database update by the hosting company. This is expected to take no more than 20 minutes, but the database is large (1.7GB) so please be patient if it takes longer.
For those who are interested in the technicalities, the database tables are being converted from the current MyIASM to InnoDB. This has advantages with locking levels and data consistency, and is the hosting company's recommended table type. It also allows for shorter minimum word length for FULLTEXT indexes which will
hopefully allow the forum search to find three letter words rather than the current four letters minimum.
If the search change does indeed work I will update
this thread accordingly.
I will close this thread for now and will open it once the work is done for any problem reports etc.
