Could well be one of the many no-name variants offered in Practical Wireless etc. by various dealers around 1960, often using up supplies of a deck from a year or two before the current model - this one has a UA8. The knobs here are generic (Roberts/Dynatron/Decca etc.), and the speaker grille may well have been available from a stock remaining after a production run - as far as possible the players seem to have been built using leftover stocks of this and that to produce a decently performing instrument that could be priced well below its branded equivalents. I'd guess a trawl through the magazines may be the only way to find a likely source for this one, unless a photo of the amp. would ring bells with anybody.
