Default Re: Useful tuning scale and label scans etc

I had a dial scan of a KB FB10 'Toaster' in which - due to the thickness of the glass when scanning - shadows were cast in the areas of the dial which should be transparent, such as where the wavelengths are marked, and the little oblong 'windows' adjacent to the station names. Those shortcomings will be noticeable when viewing the original scan, Pic 1 below, and were also apparent on a waterslide transfer.

I've found some time to clean up the scan by clearing all the transparent areas, and have recreated the wavelength markings in the windows, which had been a bit indistinct. A waterslide transfer applied to the rear of the dial glass needs to have the image reversed and must of course be printed on transparent decal paper so that the 'window' areas are transparent.

Pic 1: The original scan.

Pic 2: The cleaned up scan.

Hope that might be useful to someone.
