Hello Steve

The valves in the radio are:-
EL42 x 2, ECC83 X 2, EZ80, EBF80, EB91, EF41, ECH42 and EF41.

If the A182 was not made for the UK domestic market then it may have been made for the European market as the Ekco brand is virtually unknown in Australia. It looks like a top end receiver that would have cost someone quite a bit. At some stage it must have been someone's pride and joy - I am guessing around the mid 1950s to mid 1960s.

I have added some pictures in the hope that someone can identify the unit.
