Default Logie Baird vertical reel-to-reel tape recorder

I have a Vertical reel-to-reel Tape-recorder, with a nice John Logie Baird badge on it, that I bought second-hand for 19 guineas in 1955.

It uses standard ΒΌ inch tape, 2-track, has a microphone stored in the back of the hefty box, which is covered with imitation leather.
The amplifier is valve-driven of course; the reels are mounted vertically which is unusual now, but I think common in very early days.

It has been in my garage for ~30 years and I'm clearing out.
I have offered it to the Manchester Science & Technology Museum, but no answer yet.

If that continues to be the case, has anyone any suggestions for what to do with it?
Otherwise it will just go in the skip.
