One item confuses me. you refer to Silicon carbide insulators. Silicon carbide is conductive. Not a simple conductor, but high negative resistance with increasing temperature and I think VDR properties as well.
When I first started work, we had "Globar" kiln; the elements were silicon carbide rods. Capable of very high temperatures, but increased series resistors had to be added as the temperature increased.
Epoxy resins seem to have very high electrical resistance, but I often use a Loctite compound for holding stuff together. NOT high strength like epoxy, but it would probably be perfectly OK for your job. It is a silicone based sealant, NOT acetic acid based. Loctite 5920 as I recall.
