Hello,

I have been given the attached meter can someone explain what it is.

Came in a box of radio bits and pieces.
It says Type S902, Serial No A00118 on the ID lable

Hi Bob and welcome to the forum.

Its A GDO (Grid Dip Oscillator)

Its used for checking the resonant frequency of a circuit.

Appears to be mid-1960's vintage

They tend to be comparatively expensive to buy.

Thak you everyone for the informatiom, I found a very useful document on the Eddystone site on servicing and refurbushment of one of these units.
