Hello Mike, can you confirm that I have a table booked. I sent a cheque on the 6th but have heard nothing and the cheque has not been cashed.
Thanks

Just a final reminder - it's this Sunday!
Stallholders entry for setup: 9:00 am
General Visitor entry: 9:30 am
The event is open to BVWS members AND non-members, but you must be a paid up member to transact in the auction - you can even join on the day!
The auction will start at 12:30 and there are some really nice items in this one - there's something for everyone!
Hot food and drinks will be available throughout the day.
The entrance fee is £8.00 per person and exact money on the door would be very helpful.
The Bring & Buy table will be in operation as usual taking a 10% commission for The British Vintage Wireless & Television museum so please support it.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Will there be enough space on the bring and buy for me to leave some radios and a small tv and maybe some other little things. i don't want anything for them so whatever they make can go to the museum.

Cheers
Neil.

The B&B is always a bit tight on space but unless its a van load we should be able to cope. The important thing is anything we are unable to sell or give away needs to be picked up before end of play.
The B&B has nowhere to store or dispose of unwanted items. My car will be pretty full in both directions from past experience.

Cheers Mike T

I'll be there too, but not auction portering this time as I have spent the last three days helping friends move house and need a rest! Looking forward to it, should be a great day.

Hello,

I’m set up nicely for the swapmeet tomorrow with a trip out today to the Heddington & Stockley Steam Rally which is about 10 miles from RWB.

I was going to attend today, though just got back home from work after a 33KV mains cable to one of our sites blew up last night made a nice hole in a field . spent the day in a substation doing HV switching and setting up a big back up generator. First one I have missed in a while and was looking forward to it.

Hello,

Hats off to the BVWS Guys for another cracking swap meet and auction.

I’m now the proud owner of the Mullard valve tester in the auction. I’ll be darkening the forum for some tips and tricks to get this ‘ole beast up and running! Fingers crossed all the valves are all there.

I also got the 8 track player plus tapes which included a Cilla Black cartridge - well, the Cilla cartridge was worth the going along alone :-D :-D

Regards
Terry.

Well done on the tester, Terry. I was happy to get the variac at a sensible price.

Didn’t realise that you were at the steam rally on Saturday, you could have stayed at our place, we’re only a couple of miles from Heddington.

And I must add a massive thanks to Mike Barker and all of the team for making it a really enjoyable fun day, your efforts are very much appreciated.

I would like to echo the thanks to Mike Barker and the team, it was the first time I have taken a table (mine was the one auctioned at the end) and stayed for the auction, an enjoyable day out.

Abslutely, well done all. The team did a magnificent job, and not a single auction item was dropped by the porters! Mike was on form at the mic, and one of Jim's bacon baps was very welcome.
How nice to be back at RWB for the first summer event there for nearly 3 years.
Whoever bought Peter's table full of remaining goodies at the end for £20 got a wonderful deal.
I cleared some of my own excess on my stall, and raised about £120 for BTTT funds as well.
Auction purchases included a very tidy heavy duty Avo, and a huge boxed ceramic Avo multiplier for 25Kv readings (care needed!).
The next BVWS event is Punnett's Town on August 7th (no auction), and of course I'm looking forward to the new Biggleswade event on September 25th.

Agreed, but they had to go, it was either that or the WEEE recycling, we are moving and I am losing my large wooden cabin workshop for a garage and doing some serious downsizing.
