Printable Reactance Paper Grid?
Hi!
Does anybody know of any tool that will design the crossed 45° log scales that are used on Impedance/Frequency/Reactance Graph paper without any lettering on the axes, so I can add my Uno "Wireless World" style lettering to label the axes rather than the bland fonts usually found on such papers? I'm also looking for a customisable log–log paper tool as well! You used to get a tool called Graph Paper Designer by Dr. Phillipe Marquis that ould do this, but version 5.4.0.2 of this prints a large trial version banner right across the middle that's impossible to remove because he abandoned the registration and payment system! (I have no problems buying this sort of cheap software, only trouble being it's now impossible to buy & register it!) Did any Member buy a registration for the 5.4.0.2 of Dr. Philips's Graph Paper Program? Chris Williams |

Don't know about the reactance paper but I believe you can print log log (certainly log lin and lin lin) using Excel or similar spreadsheet programs.

Re: Printable Reactance Paper Grid?
I get many many hits for "Printable scalable graph paper" using duckduckgo.
I didnt look at every one but this has logarithmic paper. https://print-graph-paper.com/ Joe |

Re: Printable Reactance Paper Grid?
The only thing I can find is https://www.graphviz.org/
Everything else is either online with limited options for customisation or gone missing. I thought Excel or Open Office might be able to do it but haven't been able to find any info. Also re Philippe Marquis and Graph Paper Printer - this is version 4.21 but not sure if it will run on Win 10 - says 'free' so hopefully no watermarks - https://download.cnet.com/Graph-Pape...-10037453.html |

Re: Printable Reactance Paper Grid?
Log-log is easy. It's getting the log-log reactance scales added on top rotated 45 degrees that's the problem. It's really a nomograph that's being made, not simple graph axes.
I wanted a big one for the cork board beside my desk at HP, so I wrote a programme for a 9825 calculator and used one of the big format hpgl pen plotters to draw me a multi coloured one. Labelled the axes in matching colours too. It was quite handy having one around and helped visualisation when thinking of blocking and decoupling values. David |
Re: Printable Reactance Paper Grid?
I have a geriatric programme here called "Grafpaper.exe" but I can't get it to run on anything I have here now! Win7, 98, 95, DOS6 - haven't got 3.1 any more! You design your own graph then print it - Iv'e added it - try your luck!
No - sorry, I can't do that - it's too big at 380kb!. You might try Gooogling for it. |

Might like to have a look at this - designed for making Nomographs http://pynomo.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

That installer is a tad flaky under Debian Terry.
At this date we are using Python3 Joe |

Yeh, it's sort of old (2012 ish) so not surprised but hoped it may have done the trick.
