Could anyone more knowledgeable tell me anything about this clock brand: Bengt Ek?

I'm not finding a lot of info on their vintage items - just that they are still in business making affordable clocks and such.

I found a good deal on this particular clock pictured below (a vintage/antiques store has a big sale this weekend) and I'm not sure if this is a good find.

The design is somewhat similar to the products Bengt Ek currently have in their range, but I think this more vintage counterpart (?) with its slightly different hand/dial design is made from actual stainless steel.

It's not that important for me to find an -old- clock as such, but I find that the latest models usually use cheaper materials, so I would prefer to find something with a sturdy feel to it and this looked pretty good to me, but I have no idea if this is a good quality clock/brand.

I think this has to be a subjective decision. From the pictures it looks like some "standard" cheap quartz clock movement is used so you're only left with the appearance and case material to consider, function is just a given. Worth checking to see if the movement can be replaced with something currently available, it will wear out eventually!

Thanks. Well, I ended up not buying the clock, I think I got fooled by the looks a bit - and couldn't find any proper info on the brand online. In the end I had no idea if it was old or new.
