ICL PC2 CP/M. Anybody Possible To Confirm Parts Identification?
 

Hi all. I was reading the thread about ICL History with interest. This may be a long shot but I wondered if your more knowledgeable folks here would be able to confirm if what I have is for an ICL PC2 computer. To put you in the picture I purchased from the auction site an Amstrad DDI-1 floppy drive system for my CPC464 several years ago now. However the Amstrad floppy drive had a few modifications added, notably a 5'1/4 floppy drive used as drive B, which was powered by its own well over engineered power supply which had been housed in a make-shift metal case. I reversed the modification, and drive and PSU are no longer needed.

I did investigate the part No's. on both the power supply and floppy drive. I found an old forum post where someone was asking for a power supply and gave the same part No. for their ICL PC2 computer, hence why I think they are for such computer. However this was a good 10 years ago now though and can't find the post anymore.

Here are the following make and part No. for the PSU board - Farnell N100/F4190.

Here is the floppy drives. Teac FD-55F 19307080-15.

It's as I say probably a long shot, but you never know till you ask. If they are for an ICL PC2 then I'm hoping I can get them to someone who may need them to get another computer working again, or keep as handy spares.

Hi John.

The picture in the link for the Merlin M2215 Farnell PSU matches exactly the same one as mine. Good investigative work John and thank you for letting me know the correct model it is for.

i shall also contact the ICL Museum over the weekend to see if they would like the PSU or floppy drive. I have kept hold of them for a good 10 years myself and have hated the idea of taking them to recycling, especially if they might be a hard to find part which could be used to fix another vintage computer.
