Vidor My Lady Catherine spotted
I spotted one of these in a High Town antique shop in Bridgnorth - that close to Sainsburys.

Did you buy it? A bit ott on the price but a classic example of the then current valve portable. Mind you I have a soft spot for battery valve portables (the small ones), I can see six now just in the kitchen.

You could ask for a discount, on account of the batteries being flat...
I have one of these sets, and like most battery valve portables it performs extremely well.

I didn't buy it. I'd have to clear some space first. Honestly, if I don't post for a week or two then I'm probably buried under a vintage gear avalanche. That reminds me: must put some bottled water and biscuits around my house so I could survive until someone comes for me.
