Octron Valve
I'm currently sorting through box upon box of valves that I acquired & I came across this one.
I've searched everywhere for an example with no luck. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks Derek |

Re: Octron Vlave
Looks like the HL2 two volt heater triode (no cathode) & about 70v on the anodes - a pair of them were my first 'wireless receiver'

Re: Octron Vlave
Pedantic mode, no separate cathode. A good old 1920's/30's triode, it would have cost about £50 to £100 in real terms these days.

Re: Octron Vlave
All the Octron valves I have seen have Octagon shaped Bakelite bases. J.

Re: Octron Vlave
Like this one. I couldn't make out the brand when I first looked at it, but now you mention the octagon I pulled it out for another look. The label is shot, but I reckon it's Octron
