E180F is probable evidence of an RA17 family member.

He might just like myself have bought valves opportunistically when they turn up at the right price.

Being doing that for more than 40 years I have hundreds of valves that don't fit anything I collect

I'm the same, roughly 2,600 times over... but of course the equipment I repair or collect varies dramatically, depending on what comes my way. I like valve equipment of whatever era and type, so a big eclectic valve collection is very useful at times. I rarely have to buy a valve these days. I can often help out other enthusiasts as well.
