Default Kikusui 5060A service info

I'm trying to sort this scope out - most urgent thing is the intensity control sits at max all the time - but service info is scarce - any ideas?

The operation manual is available here

http://www.kikusui.co.jp/kiku_manuals/C/COS5060A_E.pdf

and schematics are available on the radiomuseum site here.

http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/kikusui...os_5060_a.html

If you are not a radiomuseum member you can still download schematics subject to restrictions.

I've been having similar problems, my 'scope is a Kikusui COS5100, the operating manual was downloaded from their website but no luck with a service manual, I emailed both their European and American websites a few months ago but didn't even get a reply.

Restrictions? I'll say - a bit of the page they select which doesn't show anything useful, or turn over your worldly goods and inside leg measurement to be a member...

Hi Ted

If you click on the bit of circuit you refer to, you will be taken to a dialogue box which will ask for your name and email address. Don't forget to tick the "I am not a robot" box. The schematic will be sent to you straight away.

The restrictions are stated when you get the dialogue box. You will get the first page of the schematic that counts as one download, to get further pages return to the link I provided and scroll down to the next page.

Downloaded, thanks. Looks pretty close to the 5060, in the display at any rate.
