Default Philips G77B

Hi folks

Here's another one of my projects, got this from a charity shop but sadly the batteries had been left in and the corrosion from those leaky batteries has done untold damage to the low tension battery holder and associated connections but also the output transformer, this having 800 Ohms on the primary and 3 Ohms on secondary, its the primary winding that's o/c and as you can see from what's left of it there is plenty of rust, I have got to search for one of those now and also make a new LT holder, the HT for this set was 67V and the LT consisted of two U2 cells in parallel. So here it is on the bench in bits.

Default Re: Philips G77B

Here is an update on this project, found the output transformer o/c on the primary, got a new transformer (see wanted section) only to find that its physical size is too big and there is no way I can get it in even if I made a longer bracket the terminals would short out so I am back to square one. As for the battery holder for the LT supply, I managed to make a new one out of aluminium and some cut down pop rivets.

best wishes

Ken
