Default BVWS Magazine

Just wondering is the Winter edition out yet? Maybe I am wrong but I always thought it was long here by now in December.

I know it was sent to the printers a couple of weeks ago so it should be imminent.

It may be a bit later than normal due to the the new editor/designer (Alex) taking over from this issue, as well as it being only the second (and the first with extra items in the mailing) with the new printers.

I have just emailed Alex to see if he has any more info.

As always, I look forward to its arrival. It sounds as though the timing might be just right to follow on from my current bedtime reading.

Alex says there is a delay at the printers (which he and Mike are chasing up). It should arrive before Christmas, fingers crossed.

Having spoken with the printers today, I am told it has been sent out to the Royal Mail and so it is on its way.
Complete with 2017 calendar and DVD.

Enjoy!

Every envelope WILL contain your membership renewal form (otherwise you cannot receive it as the form is also the address label!) PLEASE send it back as soon as possible.

It is a real pain when members do not renew until after the first Bulletin in the next year when they realise that others have received it but they have not...

Point noted Mike. I always apologise for any delay but did not know this was an issue. Some of my mags arrive at one address-some others eg The Bulletin Ramsbottom [for a good reason].
I'm often in the south over the Xmas holiday but not always. I will look out an unused renewal form and send it in from Bexhill if I don't get through the Rail Strikes.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I would rather you waited and used the correct renewal form that is coming with the Winter Buletin.
You will confuse the Membership Sec. as they change colour each year for his filing system.

All the best,

Mike...

OK noted Mike. I've sent in hand written details in the past but the system is clearly getting more slick so I will comply. You can rely on my renewal.
The other mags are great as well but I regard the Society and the Bulletin as the more national, visible representation of our hobby/historical archive. I hope that doesn't sound too pompous though

Hi,
well a copy has just arrived folded not quite in half! . But Please could you put " do not fold " or something similar on the outside. The postman seems determined to fold everything through the letter box and didn't even ring the bell ( yes I was in ! ) .
regards Peter B

Had a quick flick through this morning when it arrived, and it looks a good read. The selction of items on the DVD looks like they should be a good watch too.

Same here A do not bend sticker or stamp on the envelope would be most appreciated.

In fairness normally the mag is in clear plastic these days but I guess needs more strength with calendar and dvd.
Have a word with the post person I think,we had a clown in Scotland for a long time who damaged mail.

Possibly no "Christmas Box" this year!
