Default R&S SK210/SK310 Transceivers

Does anyone have any technical information or knowledge of Rhodes & Schwarz SK210 (100W)/SK310(1KW) HF Transceivers? These transceivers were in use by the German Army and the Navy in the late 70's and 80's.

Further to my post. They say a picture paints a thousand words...so here are a few photo's of the R&S SK310 Transceiver rack and some the HPA internals. This is just a small part of the system which has cables and ancillary's galore.

I now have this 1KW beast up and running...but only on low power and into a dummy load (please note). Even on low power (100W) it consumes 14.5 amps at 240V AC mains (keyed). The final anode voltage is 3.3KV at up to 0.8 amp for the beam tetrode output valve. The screen and anode HT's/ EHT's are generated from a 5KHz chopper style inverter. The control logic is very early TTL/DTL technology.....lots of it. I have also obtained documents and some schematics which date this transceiver to early 1970's. I have the smaller 100W HPA unit which I intend to get going once I have sourced some cables (military).

Happy New Year (2018) to all

Fantastic set up !
You might just get it in a walk in wardrobe instead of the pantry

Maybe a wardroom perhaps, given its military provenance?

Lovely, but more than a little scary.... Have you spoken to Caroline about a place on 49 or 25m?

It covers the entire HF band and upper LF. Various modulation modes are supported (inc data) but not A3E unless a different exciter is used.
