Default Gould Advance OS3000A 'scope - manual wanted

Hello,

Does anyone have a spare user/service manual for this 'scope, please?

Ideally an original printed manual or alternatively, a scan of it.

Many thanks,

I have the manual for the Advance OS3000. (As well as OS3001, OS1000, OS3500, OS3600 and other variants.) Not scanned, and it may be a month before I can scan it. So if you are still stuck then, send a PM in due course. Bill

Hello Bill,

Thank you for your kind offer.

Does anyone know the difference(s) between the OS3000 and the OS3000A?

Differences between OS3000 and OS3000A.
I have compared the specifications. They appear identical, with the same CRT, except that the low frequency limit of the Y Amplifiers is 2Hz as against 5Hz.
Every now and then, Advance used to restyle a model, presumably for marketing purposes. They would also re-number if improved transistors allowed the frequency range to be extending a few Mhz, or if the CRT was changed, presumably when prices from the makers changed. But both use the Philips/Mullard D14-121.
I have compared the pictures of the OS3000, introduced in 1972/3 at £460+VAT with the OS3000A, discontinued 1987. Apart from the colour of the knob fronts, they appear identical. Bill

I have an OS3000A manual but I don't want to let it go I'm afraid. I can scan the circuits in easily if you like.

Regards,

Hello Richard,

If you could scan the OS3000A circuits and post them here (or email them to me if that allows greater resolution), I would be most grateful.

Regards,

I've done a quick scan using the office do-it-all wonder machine. It's about 6MB so PM me your email address and I'll try and send it.
