Default Bush TR82/B Case Cleaning

Hi all.
I've just picked up a Bush TR82/B portable with what is now a very cream plastic case that is covered in food particles and DNA of some sort.
I've started to clean off all the yuk with warm soapy water and one of those scrubbing pads that you use for non stick pans, (they don't leave scratches on soft surfaces). What I was wondering is does anyone know of a product that might bring the original colour back at least a little bit, I'm not after miracles cos time will have taken it's toll but I'd like to give it a good shot at getting it properly clean.

Cheers, Steve

Clean it with foaming cleaner followed by T-Cut or Brasso.

That will get the dirt and grease off, but the plastic itself may have become discoloured, and it won't be possible to polish that out. You could try soaking the case in a solution of hydrogen peroxide (oxy stain remover) or household bleach.

Bleach may turn it green, I have found this with many plastics.

Yes, it would be wise to try it on a bit of the inside first.

I hope I'm not being obvious, but keep stuff like Foam Cleanser and bleach well away from the fabric 'wraparound'.
I once waded in to a clean-up with Foam Cleanser and the fabric lost a lot of its colour!
