NAD 5120 TT access advice please
I bought this curious device at my local auction. The little light lights up but there's nobody home! Ie no drive. With the platter off I can see that in order to trace the wiring to the motor I am going to have to disassemble further. I have downloaded the manual but, as there is no obvious way in, I thought I would ask if anyone had any advice about getting into this without wrecking it?

A bit more research on the interweb has revealed this excellent vid (which has answered all my questions so far) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AExpBiiYEfk - do have a look and listen carefully just after 8'17" - something deeply true and significant is revealed about enthusiasts like us! My wife thought it was hilarious!

Ha ha, that's funny!
As the chap in the video said, yours is the early version with what's sometimes described as the PCB arm. These decks were sold by Richer Sounds in vast numbers in the mid-80s, but I've yet to see one on the flesh. N. |

I have one of these, bought at a closing down sale around 30 years ago.
It has a tendency to throw the belt off, especially when changing speed.
