Default Supplier of mains and output transformers

I have been informed of this company, who by all accounts provide good quality products and services: www.grandchain.co.uk

I have no connection with them nor any idea of prices, although their forensic examination and transformer rebuilding service looks interesting.

One we used to use at a college I worked at was Sowter Transformers. I think they're down in Southampton somewhere. They specialise in output transformers, but will do small power tx's and scope tx's etc.

Thanks for that Phil, very opportune! I need a 30 volt 400VA TX for a PSU project.

Pennine still make transformers, though no longer radios but I believe amplifiers are still produced. They are in Huddersfield for us northern lads.

No experience of them but they sell on eBay on the web.

Hi
OEP Transformers of Oxford make both output transformers and mains transformers which come with dual Secondary windings, including 6.3volt.
I have no connection with this company other than a very helpful conversation with Chris Smith, designer, well worth a visit.

I have regularly used Transtronic /Trans-amp in Chesterfield in my day job (www.mjwamps.com) and they will make anything to order.
Obviously they specialise in other things, but will do radio stuff to order:
