Default Radiophile Auction - 18th December 2016

Just a quick note to let people know that the next Radiophile Auction is on 18th December 2016 at Gnosall.

Lots of interesting valves on offer again - a brief list of some of the more unusual ones is available as a download from www.radiophile.co.uk

Graham,

The catalogue (which arrived nice and early - thanks!) says

i) entry by catalogue only; and
ii) no buyer's premium to Radiophile Subscribers.

Please can you confirm the status for a Radiophile magazine subscriber who doesn't subscribe to the auction list service?

It seems like they won't pay a buyer's premium, but can't actually enter the sale

Loads of confusion over auctions. I've spoken to Chas, and he is concerned over some changes made recently that are causing problems.

From Chas:

There is no buyers premium for anybody, regardless of whether they subscribe to The Radiophile.

Admission to auctions when there are also stalls of items for sale is £2.50 (not by catalogue), admission to special auctions where there are no stalls is free. (The auction next weekend at Gnosall has stalls so admission is £2.50).

Catalogues will be available on the day of the auction, but you will need to subscribe to the auction list if you want advance copies.

Auctions will start at around 1:00pm or slightly earlier - but there will be ample time from the 10:00am admission time to view lots for sale and look around the stalls.

Graham,

Very sorry that I couldn't get there and take a table as usual, but I hope the event was well attended. All the best,

Phil
