Not at all anathema!
There's a lot to be proud of in Britain's track record in the area. Some good engineering and some very smart developments. We just have to filter out the witchdoctory rubbish. David

A lot of those names are very familiar from the mid '50s when I worked in London for about a year at a Radio/TV/Hi FI shop, one I didn't see there was Pye, maybe they didn't seriously enter the Hi Fi field but they did produce a high quality amplifier of the same ilk as the Quad/Leak of the time, it had a white chassis, can't remember the model, possibly a PF something?
