I have to agree with the views so far, particularly - and
certainly in the case of most vintage stuff - you don't actually need 'Nth degree' accuracy levels. The old fashioned 'swing of a needle' tells the engineer much more than somewhat 'staid' numerical readout. I think I'll stick with what I've got and use each of them as best appropriate at the time.
